About TastyFlix

This is a site I have created to catalog movies about food.

I’ve been into “food movies” long before I was a professional cook. My fascination began with a matinee (yep, in the theatre – ADMIT ONE) of “Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe, circa 1978. The sharp, witty dialogue and captivating images have remained with me to this day: I will never forget Jacqueline Bisset separating egg yolks through her fingers and the massive ovens (in professional kitchens) large enough to roast an entire person (DOUBLE SPOILER ALERT), which inevitably happens in this film; as well as my later favorite The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, circa 1989.

Tastyflix is simply an archive of “films fed by food”.
