Honeyland

The “sometimes painful to watch” documentary is a timely reminder to the bitter-jaded-uptight judgmental “west” that life is precarious and in reality, always a step away from complete unbalance and collapse.  It’s the story of a lone beekeeper in North Macedonia and her subsequent struggle to keep her livelihood and old mother alive.  Striking scenery and images that made me feel the same as how I used to feel looking at the early picture-scapes of old National Geographic’s.  This Tastyflix is worthy of dedicated time.
