Samurai Gourmet (TV Series)

Here is my recommendation for any given day off. Go to your local Japanese market and buy some of your favorite foods and drink. Come home, cook up those items, pour yourself a glass, sit down and binge watch this whole series…it’s that much fun!

Takeshi (a newly retired salaryman) finds himself with some time on his hands, which indulges his penchant for daydreaming. In these trance-like hallucinations Takeshi channels his inner culinary warrior; whereby, victorious battles lay in conquering and consuming the food he deeply desires.
