Tortilla Heaven

Great little surprise of a film that I came across on Amazon… the age old story of faith, idolatry, greed and the ever hopeful notion that people are good (deep down).  The storyline is a biblical fable riddled with folksy comic interludes that’s packaged in that disjointed (fun to watch) indie style.

In the beginning of the film there’s a clever scene with dual images of making tortillas and making communion wafers…..of the two, I clearly prefer tortillas!!  The scenic visuals of the high desert (New Mexico) are striking, beautiful and well-captured in this TASTYFLIX.  

Is this Passion of the Christ? No, and thank Jesus for that…worth the watch in my book.
